Strong Girls Lifting Club (Grade 9-12th)
This structured strength training program is designed specifically for high school girls who want to become stronger in a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment.
Whether you're:
An in-season athlete looking to maintain strength and reduce injury risk.
Preparing for your next athletic season and wanting to build strength, power, and confidence.
Looking to improve your overall fitness, health, and confidence through structured strength training.
Not currently participating in a sport but wanting to learn proper lifting technique and build lifelong strength training habits in a supportive, encouraging environment.
You'll receive expert coaching that helps you build strength, improve movement quality, and develop confidence that carries into sports, school, work, and everyday life. Training is led by Dr. Ellen Yost, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), alongside Dylan Green and Lexi Brent, two recent multi-sport collegiate athletes who are passionate about helping girls grow as athletes, leaders, and confident young women.
We've created two after-school time options so families can choose the schedule that works best.
Choose either:
Monday & Wednesday | 2:30–4:00 PM
Monday & Wednesday | 4:30–6:00 PM
(*Need to change your time during the season? No problem!)
The majority of each session is dedicated to expert strength training, with individualized coaching and lifting progressions based on your age, experience, and goals. Each class also includes a short mental performance lesson focused on topics like confidence, resilience, leadership, mindfulness, goal setting, and overcoming challenges.
As part of the Strong Girls United mission, high school participants are also invited to serve as role models for our middle school girls. During the mindset and mentorship portion of each class, participants may be paired with a younger athlete to encourage, connect, and grow together. We believe one of the most powerful ways to develop leadership is by helping someone else discover their own confidence.
The mentorship portion is a small part of each session, but an important part of what makes Strong Girls United unique. Just as our college mentors have poured into our high school girls, we hope our high school participants will have the opportunity to inspire the next generation. At Strong Girls United, strength is about more than lifting weights—it's about becoming the strongest version of yourself while helping others become stronger too.
